Pls help us to help you by showing a pic of the whole thing & also telling us what the plant it is, if you know. Where in the world are you geographically pls. Am guessing it's somewhere tropical & from the precision of those dots, I'd guess some kind of fern spores, how some ferns reproduce, not from eggs nor baby plantlets like some succulents, but from spores.

Thank you for answering!! It was part of an orchids leaf! We are in cincinnati ohio so its not using too humid here. My mother, who has sadly passed, has taken care of these orchids for a long long time and I noticed the scab a couple of months ago and now i noticed the black edges. I was very scared so i cut it off but here is the photo of the plant without the leaf.

Don't worry about it. I think its a sort of scar tissue formation. Don't cut off the leaves.

I agree with Jane, nothing to worry about, but the plant needs some tender love and care. It is a Phalaenosis and it must be happy where it is growing, but it needs to be repotted. Plenty of notes on-line on how to do that in your part of the world.
