Got out before Sunday School yesterday and got a few pictures, knowing it would be too hot later.

Update on my knee: Wed. will be half way of the 6 weeks no driving, no weight bearing. However, my PT said I will have to learn to walk again, that I will be surprised by what I will lose despite PT.

Friday was frustrating: I went to my first surgeon follow-up appointment and the office was locked up tight. found out they cancelled me and moved me 2 days sooner but never informed me, and listed me as a no-show. I'm in process of fixing that, but the big issue is I will have to arrange a ride again, and my son Kai took me Friday despite a debilitating migraine and all for nothing.

Got this in a trade many years ago. It is an unnamed seedling by who knows who. It is an excellent bloomer, with many many buds. Seems worthy to be named to me. Not quite open as it was early.

Hyperion is starting up. Such a great scented flower.

Meleny Debutante. Strange plant. It had many good years in a row with lots of rebloom, one year til frost. Now it has had several bad years in a row, in spite of being split so it would bloom better. If it doesn't shape up......

Woodside Amethyst duo. I need to move it. It is so beautiful in the AM but it takes very little sun to absolutely destroy it.

A group of Peacock Maidens looking like they are fight to see who will be in front.

Smoky Mt. Autumn Duo

Gorgeous blooms today! Woodside Amethyst and Peacock Maiden are my favorites, purple reigns! I sue hope Melendez Debutante shapes up for you, it’s lovely.

RITA; I really like MAE GRAHAM, tooShe is nestled in all the different plants in my Jungle Garden # 2 at the end of my sidewalk.She seems to be very happy there, with a rose on each side of her, plus a Patio Tomatoe plant in a pot,amd WONDER OF IT ALL is in front of her, too. The first two blooms I had on WONDER OF IT ALL didnt open all the way, but soon as this hot weather started every one has been about perfect.No trouble opening now.I just LOVE this daylily. Cindy. I am glad you think my photo is pretty good of Palace Garden Beauty.,I have seen much better before. Yes,ms Blackie stayed up under the lily leaves till I moved, then she came along to find another shady spot Kathy, Thank you, yep, she has the edge and I just love it too. Kay, Thank you.It was hard taking photos in that hot sun.I just had to keep wiping sweat out of my eyes to see anything,and with glasses,thats not easy to do. Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes, Janelle will get some pampering when this is all over. And ironically, we never got out to dinner for Father's day yet. I called the doctor for plan B for these sinuses. It's been 10 days and I feel like I'm about as bad as before. Still too wiped out to go out. Brad

I agree with Sherry! Those two purples would be my picks as well. I had Maleney Debutante at one time. Same pattern. Was lovely for several year. Nice clump and then stopped blooming and actually died. I never replaced. Still like Smoky Mountain Autumn and those colors, too.

I like Smoky Mountain Autumn pic. Unfortunate that Meleny Debutante is not performing well as it is quite striking. Too bad you wasted a trip to the surgeon for your follow up appt.

You got me to thinking about Smoky Mountain Autumn with your last post of it. I really liked mine. Even though the color changed in the heat, the smoky overlay added another dimension to it. I can't be adding more daylilies. Stop it!!!-lol..........Sorry to hear about your frustration with your knee. Dealing with the medical profession overall, from billing to office staff, is oft times annoying...........Maryl

Those Peacock Maidens do look like they're fighting to be first in line. LOL Meleny Debutante is a pretty one. I hope it shapes up for you. It's too bad about your doctor's office not letting you know about the schedule change. I've been very pleased with all the medical personnel I've dealt with before, during and after my surgery. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

I decided that today I'm not going out. It is blazing hot and I have to really work to get around in the wheel chair.

That's one of the best pics I've seen of Peacock Maiden. Too much splotchiness here and not the sturdiest stems. Hang in there.
