Annie's picture looks like a Bob Ross painting, except he'd have put a happy little path leading off though the trees.
South Dakots.
Mount San Jacinto
I loved going to Alaska. What an amazing place to visit!!
These last two are pictures of Mendenhall Glacier, I believe.
I've never visited Alaska, so I didn't photograph the giraffe there. ;) I'd like to visit the state, but hate the idea of taking a cruise. So visiting gets shoved back in favor of easier to plan destinations.
Haven't been to Alaska; how about a mountain scene from the Lake Tahoe area?
gyr, you can always do just the land portion...that's very interesting too.
Yes, I hear that Denali is a wonderful park with lots of wildlife!!
New Smyrna Beach, Florida
Beautiful pictures from all of you! But I would really like to know how Glenda got all the guys :)

Annie, we have talked about it, but that takes a lot more planning. My husband says he would be fine doing a cruise there, but I know I would hate it. Plus I have experienced motion sickness problems since my last pregnancy, and likely would be sick most of the time. So I don't push for an Alaska trip, partly because he would probably try to talk me into doing the cruise.

The Alaska Highway was built mainly by the U.S. during World War II - for non-sea access to Alaska.
Unable to find my Atlas at the moment ... but the mileages are substantial. Memorable scenery, though - and people, what few there are.
ole joyful
I once met a couple who had driven to the northern points on the Alaska Highway and then cruised back. They had met a couple who had cruised up and were bringing back the RV. 7-day cruise, plus 14 days of exploring in the RV.
