I posted about this before but I decided to post again but this time without any furniture in the extended breakfast room.

My idea - To turn that extended breakfast room into a cozy sitting room/reading area with string lights and some plants. Maybe a settee or some big chairs. Would wicker/nice patio furniture work?

The curtains can be changed ( I know its 2 colors - temporary). The sofa cannot be turned to another side because of the tv set up. We typically sit on the island to eat but I would like a small dining/breakfast table as well... maybe between the island and the back of the sofa because of that open area. Would that be too tight? Is my only option to use the extended room for what it is, a breakfast room? Thank you for your help.

I will also be changing my chairs for the island.

The dog bed and extra chairs with pillows will be moved to another space.
