I see on that board you have a 24 pin power connector but up in the top rear corner of the motherboard behind the 9 pin DIN and USB hubs there is also a 4 pin power connector. Check this is seated correctly. He seems to be tucked in between the cooling fins and a black item, is it possible you missed it? Not doubting you by any means but at times even the silliest thing can cause frustrations. Is the Corair RAM on the Asus QVL compatibility list? Asus boards need very specific models of RAM to work properly. Beautiful machine, I drooled all down my shirt while writing this.

Perfect! That's exactly what I wanted. I have it downloaded and installed and have had it counting for 4 minutes. Once I close the browser or all the tabs, it stops. I think it will be enlightening and scary to see just how much time I really do spend here playing. Thanks so much. Sue

Maura, This is my office now and since I do have the lap top I can move it over to the right when I need more desk space or push it back under the shelf and reach out to type. I have even had two laptops on the desk at once repairing one while getting repair directions on the other. The printer is on the left under the fabric and lace cover I just push back when I am using it and my office supplies are in the drawer under the printer. The desk is really small and I took the top off of an old wood kitchen table and set it on top of the small desk to give me more desk top area but not a larger foot print on the floor. This way I was able to tuck in the little one drawer thing with the printer. The other little side table is an old old hospital bedside meal tray.I use it for many things. I know this is all a bit crowded but this room is multi functional. It is my office, sewing room ,craft storage space, mosaic workroom and my exercise room. The room is 10 foot by 10 foot. There could be a feed-in and feed-out in that switch box, the feed-out could lead to the receptacle that the monitor is plugged into. When toggling the switch the movement might open and already loose connection causing the monitor to shut off. That's just a theory. If the monitor is plugged into to correct outlet of the UPS (some outlets are not protected) I don't know why it would shut off.
