Help with Guest Bedroom Decor

My guest room do-over was inspired by this photo that I found of an old hollywood actress and a dressing table passed down (3 generations.)

I've painted the room white, hung a unique textured wallpaper behind the bed, and hung a wall of pinkish curtains to match the pink in the photo of the woman. I don't want to change the wall color, because I want the "stuff" in the room to be the eye-catchers.

This room gets a lot of natural light and the curtains allow the light to come through.

I still need decor to include accent lighting, side tables, and anything else that someone thinks would make for a fun and inviting guest room. Any suggestions would be great, as I intend to have a lot of fun with this room. Let your inner designer run wild with this one... please!!!

This room has such fun potential! I love the dressing table and the picture; they provide tremendous possibilities.

The image is, I'd guess, from the 1920s or possibly the 1930s so I'd take the decor and bedding in that direction: frilly (but not silly), Art Deco.

I wonder if mirrored nightstands would work.. They would seem like they'd fit in with that picture since I can see the woman in a room with them

we have not attached it yet--- we need to look at the bed frame to see if its able to attach -otherwise we will get the appropriate frame- DH does not want to attach to wall-- its pretty sturdy even though its not attached.... HTN-- i hear you about transitional-- i kind of felt like i was liking that style but yes the rest of our house is traditional-- i'm keeping the headboard- so i'll see what else i come up with... I also think the bed needs an ivory throw blanket and a nice bench (thats lighter by the foot of the bed)... to be continued

OP, while you are at Target or on the website check out the Project 62 line of mid century inspired furniture and decor. I got two nightstands similar to the white ones in the first inspiration pic that was posted. They have a lot of nice pieces for a good value, especially if it's for a guestroom where you may not want to spend as much as in a master bedroom.

Pictures of the room will get actual answers. I sure hope the drapes are not the shocking pink unless the only guests you get are girls That dressing table is awesome why not go all out Art Deco or was that just a picture that started this adventure? Usually window treatments come at the end and where is the bedding which IMO usually drives the color scheme

The desk will be put into another room - ignore that.

There is no other furniture that needs to be in the room apart from the bed. I haven't put up the molding yet. The room is basically a blank canvass - I have a photo, some "pink" (a term I use loosely b/c I know that there are a million shades of,) a bed, and a dressing table.

Ohh so many possibilities!

What about a nice ROUND mirror?

And perhaps a great 1950's advertising triptych behind the bed.

Thanks for some feedback!

I do intend on putting up a great mirror - looking for the one.

I am leaning more toward brass accents (like the mirror) and possibly some side tables/nightstands.

Have also explored some adverts from the 30s for a little extra wall coverage - Especially the dramatic contouring of Jean Harlow's lips.

I'm searching etsy for some vintage pieces to put onto the dressing table.

When it comes to advertising, lots of antique stores have older magazines/ perfume labels and such!! Get some NICER ready-made frames and do some collage work on the walls.

Love these brass drink stands as a nontraditional side table for lamps, but hate that west elm does not offer free shipping because they consider these items "furniture." I can't come to terms with paying $20.00 shipping for these little guys.
