Actually with help from this forum and a friend I will use the gray wisp in a bath. I have a white surround tub and white cabinets and white sink with dark mahogony vanity. So thanks as I think it will work well for the bath. Ive decided to do a different color in laundry it is BM Alexandria beige. so now I need a suggesting paint color for this new paint. Any suggestions, and thanks to all who replied and help it is very appreciated.

Hi jmcgowan, Can't wait to see your F&B Pointing painted cabinets. Pointing was one of our top choices -- such a beautiful color! Our kitchen isn't that big by kitchen standards these days (it is 274 square feet). So the calm continuity of the same color on cabinets and trim works well in our ''smaller'' space. In general, however, I do like the play of different shades of white layered together in a room. So I certainly don't think there is anything wrong with picking a different white for the trim. In some cases it might add the depth or slight contrast that the room needs. My sense from your drawing is that your kitchen is quite a bit larger; perhaps that is why your architect thinks that in your space having different trim and cabinet colors will work well. I'd encourage him to tell you a bit more about his thinking on this. Again, he may well be right. In any case, once your cabinets are installed, if you decide you want to match (or not match) you can make that decision at that time. As for the counters, we had some rough ideas about what our counter top colors/material might be before we ordered the paint color for our cabinets; but we didn't know for sure. That was a bit of a gamble.

Hi amysrq, The colors I need to decide on right away would be for the corner cabinets, the shoe cabinet, the trim and the ceiling. The kitchen cabinets can technically wait a little longer. However, I feel that I have to choose the color for the kitchen cabinets at the same time to make sure they all work together. Perhaps the dining cabinets and the trim can be the same color, and be a shade lighter than the kitchen. But I am open to any ideas. I agree that the foyer ceiling looks chopped up but didn't think about doing the same gray on the ceiling. We have a bathroom with a slopped ceiling and have painted that ceiling a shade lighter than the wall color. May be it can work here also.

Ceiling, Alabaster in flat finish, trim, Alabaster in semi-gloss finish. Because the cabinets are abutting the ceiling and Alabaster isn’t true white, I would worry that a ceiling “white” would make the cabs look drab.
