Hi, The tap and feed heads on the trimmer are sensitive to how you wound the plastic strimmer cord. First off did you wind the cord the correct way around the spool? Second did you wind the cord nice and tidy with no overlaps. I have been at this game for about three years now, and I still get this bit wrong. Sometimes it feeds like a dream, sometimetimes I have to stop the trimmer to help it along. Usually I find the feed failure to be a crossed strand on the spool inside, effectively stopping any unwinding of the cord. Best, Mike.

One of my favorite books, now passed on to a horticultural library, concerned farming in MA during the Civil War. Several pages are devoted to eradicating this thistle which always has been a costly, troublesome weed. The 'solution' then was to mow grasslands in the fall to a height of about 6" which left the hollow centers of each thistle exposed to the winter elements which killed the plant. Based on this writing and years of experimenting when living in Yankee land, I dealt with the thistle by cutting each stalk back to about 3" in height during active late spring growth and placing 2 drops of clorox into the exposed hollow stem. Clorox keeps on working and will slowly kill the extensive root system. Patience! Hand pull the weed near your prized tree as even a single drop of clorox is effective for quite a radius around a treated plant. And, if the decision is made to use no chemicals then remove each thistle, cutting below soil surface. Repeat until root system dies off. Try using a linoleum knife as a "down on the knees" weeding tool. Most effective weed controller I have in my gardening tool kit.

I used to feed stale bread to the outside birds.My neighbors dad,who lived at the house part time after retiring to Pa,,,told me it was no good for the birds. So for the last 5 years I have bought wild bird seed,..A year or so ago my neighbor told me I needed to stop feeding them as they pooped on his 50 thousand dollar truck.I told him to F off...Months later I got a warning from town saying I can only feed them with a bird feeder,...I got one,,,,Then he told me not to feed them more than once a day.At 63,with a bad hip,I fed them if I happened to see it empty whenever that was.I got a ticket from town saying the food that falls to the ground as they eat,is illegal.,,,How can people be so mean?

Assuming that the light is fed from the outlet box, it could have been wired at least three ways (and more, actually): The light could be fed from the load side of the GFCI receptacle (in which case there should be 4 wires connected to the receptacle--a white and a black each at either end). The light could draw power from the line side of the receptacle (in which case there should be four wires connected to one end of the receptacle. Thirdly, the light wiring could bypass the receptacle by pigtailing directly to the incoming feed cable. Any of these can be valid ways of wiring a light from a bathroom outlet. The question is: how does yours appear to have been wired? I'll admit to being confused by your terminology. When say "outlet box", what does that mean? Do you mean the receptacle? If no white wire was attached to the receptacle, I don't see how it could have worked under any circumstances. It strikes me that it is much more likely that the problem lies with the wiring (probably one or more loose or disconnected white neutrals) than with the GFCI receptacle itself. However, we'll need more precise information to diagnose. Can you detail all of the wiring you see in the box or post a picture?
