Help me choose exterior color scheme on my house!
Comments (10)Lori, including the stone veneer? Yep. That's what the Romabio product is for. Using the same color, you could go several shades darker and use that color for the dormer, front door area, the peaks, and the garage and any secondary doors. These colors will be custom mixed colors. I absolutely never recommend custom mixed paint colors exterior unless you have no choice and they are on the lighter end of the value spectrum. You don't have a choice and luckily the vinyl you are matching is on the lighter end of the spectrum. I prefer to specify stock paint colors that have been properly measured for LRV and tested for light fastness, etc. You don't get that scientific backup with custom mixed colors....See MoreChoosing siding color to go with "purplish" brick
Comments (21)Make up some large samples on craft board and move them all around. Colors look so different outside and in sunshine or cloudy weather. I would try both Tinsmith and Stamped Concrete for the body of the house; and a white for that interior space next to the entrance. It looks quite dark in your photos. And consider painting the soffits, the part under the eaves the white to lighten it up. And ... a purple front door might look really great!...See MorePLEASE help me choose the right colors for my exterior...
Comments (3)For visitors and when you come home, your house is going to be framed against the sky, which will change depending on the weather. But the sky will almost always be a cool color. So start from there. Personally, I like warm colors on homes as they contrast with the sky (bringing out the house) and are more welcoming. From the photo, it appears you are in a rather tightly packed neighborhood, so you want your paint scheme to be a positive for the neighborhood and the other houses...a little different but not crazy different. I notice that the popular colors in the Western U.S. are different from the Eastern U.S. Where do you live?...See MorePlease help! Choose a paint color for the exterior of my home.
Comments (11)The roof looks dark blue to me, so I'm going with blue for siding. Weston Flax for the front door. For the thin veneer foundation stone, you are living in the right state! Check out some of your local stone yards for Vermont limestone. Lots, and lots of colors. For instance, if you painted the house blue:...See MoreRelated Professionals
