Fantasy brown.

What other accesories matter to you? Like - do you have a collection of dinnerware or several enameled cast iron pans that are usually out on the stove?

The first two are very neutral, the Fantasy Brown is also neutral but has more colors in it. It might be nice to find another color to pull into the counter. What else is in/near the kitchen that you want to see flow thru it.

Look at floor tiles at the same time, which may help you make a countertop decision when you see the combination. I like the Oyster White or Fantasy Brown. Also consider what paint color you may want that ties into other areas of your home.

That Fantasy Brown is just gorgeous - I'd absolutely go with that.

Thank you very much for the advice. I like Fantasy Brown a lot. I am not sure if it would work in my counter with the seam at the corner. It seems like pieces of Oyster White or Lennon are easier to join together discretely. Also, with the small appliances on the counter - microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle - I am not sure how much granite flow I will be able to see at a time.

Is Oyster White look too simple in your opinion? What backsplash do you suggest to make it more visually interesting? What color of the floor tile is the best? My kitchen opens to the hallway/living room with red oak floor. I prefer not to have hardwood in the kitchen.

If you use the Oyster White, I would look for a solid light taupe tile for the floors, taken from a color in the stone. Try it up against your hardwoods. The countertop has enough interest on its own, so keep the back splash simple. A subway tile in white or light taupe, a lighter version of the floor color, would look great.

I vote for Fantasy Brown, coupled with a paint that would pick up the blue-gray color of the stone. Backsplash should be simple, not busy.

While I love the fantasy brown, what you need to look at are the size of the sections of your top.. will it be able to "show off " the fantasy brown and its beautiful veining or will that get lost...If you take the picture of the slab you are looking at and put it on your computer, then try drawing boxes simulating your top . That way you can really see what the pieces will look like. Some granite yards will do that for you if they have already done a template.

IF the fantasy brown doesn't work out I would go for Lennon...

what granite did you go with? also what color will you paint your interior walls?

I have chosen Oyster White. It may look better in the smaller space and the seam may be less visible. I did not choose the paint color yet.

late to the party but I used Fantasy Brown with my IKEA Bobdyn kitchen. It is in a lake cottage and it has a “wave” in it that reminds me of a sandy beach
