Broke off main shut off valve, well system, can I fix it?

Comments (6)Things like outlets will go in standard locations and in standard formats unless there are specific instructions to do otherwise. This is essentially an esthetic decision and unfortunately that is almost always going to fall on the homeowner unless you are working with a designer who should pick things like that up. But honestly, as a designer, I've irritated some contractors and electricians who only want to think about putting things exactly where they always go and not where someone else wants them to go. There are regularly threads about this situation related to outlets and switches interfering with backsplash layout as well. Comments (12)It appears that your chandelier is too high. The bottom of the fixture should be about 30” from the table top. Comments (5)If I understand your dilemma, Amanda, it is not too invasive to move the electrical box, Electrician puts a new hole in the ceiling over your table and fishes the wires to a new junction box. As for the old hole in the ceiling? You buy a ceiling medallion large enough to cover the old hole. Just make sure the chandelier wires go through the medallion before attaching to ceiling....See Moregroveraxle
