New Build Screen Porch flooring - PT wood already on site!
Comments (7)A lot depends on the look you want. We're also doing a screen porch and will use a composite (not sure which yet) but the type that is interlocking and looks like T&G after install. You can't stain a PT deck immediately so it will have to weather as is for a while - how long I believe depends on how much weather/sun exposure it will get but I believe a year is recommended. Will you be screening underneath the PT flooring to keep bugs out? How will it be fastened? Will they do a blind system so you don't have to see nails in the boards?...See MoreBuilding of new screened in porch/deck

Comments (7)Oh dear. Now I see why the confusion. Husband wasn’t quite finished with the build of fireplace when I took the picture. In this picture you can see fireplace better With the side boxes. It will have two side boxes...one for fire wood. One for the grill and tools stored inside the box. But you are correct, many places near house to put the grill. Then carry food to wherever we put an eating table. The issue with the patio near house is there is bright hot sun especially summer evenings, and it obstructs our beautiful view from inside the house. This picture is from right outside our bedroom, which was going to be screened in but we decided we don’t need the screen....See MoreNEW Build: Help with screened porch and deck furniture layout!
Comments (3)Here’s a larger view. Dining room is to the left and the living room is straight off the screened porch. There is a door of the dining room a sliding doors off the living room. How we envision using this space is as an extension of our living room primarily. DH likes to watch tv outside and we do like to eat outside as well but it doesn’t have to be in the screened porch. I would like to fit 6-8 outside in the screened porch as we do entertain quite a bit....See MoreBritta Morris
