Using IKEA cabinet doors on non-IKEA cabinets

I am completely confused about the measurements. For example, when I select the 15 by 20 inch door, it says the actual length is 23.5?

Do the doors come pre-drilled for the hinges? If so, I will need the length to be as accurate as possible, and I can trim the width and add iron on edging tape.

Does anyone know how far from the top and bottom the hinge holes are? If my size means we lose a hinge hole, how do we drill our own? We want Haggeby doors.

I am assuming we need new hinges? Our cabinets are frameless.

This is the size of the package, not the door itself

You have to go to Product Size for the actual size.

Go to this link, select the size of the door and it will show you the size

The actual size is W 14 7/8 x H 19 7/8 x T 5/8

Maybe you should do a search on IKEAfans.com. Dulci on that board and a few others are experts on the dimensions. I know that on the IKEA Domsjo cabinet, it has a metal bracket to keep it stable from side to side. I "believe" the doors measure 18" high. Definitely don't quote me on that! The sink was designed to be supported by the countertop on both sides.

Most sink cabinets consist of a top panel with two doors. I think you need to be careful about the size of the top panel. So long as you have enough of the top panel you can cut down into it and it should be a non-issue just like Kalapointer said.

My daughter used the IKEA Bodarp green kitchen units for her new open plan kitchen extension and sourced some wooden terrazzo worktops, ply handles and oak slats panels to go round the peninsular. Looked amazing when completed. Here are some photos taken during the completion of it.
