How deep should Solomon's Seal be planted?

I got some Solomon's Seal transplants, and I'm not sure how deep the rhizomes are supposed to be planted.

I think the nubby bit at the bottom of this picture is the end of the rhizome (the top is the stem). I'm assuming that I should have the end under the dirt when I plant it, yes? Should it be just barely under the dirt? along the surface like a bearded iris? buried like a daylily?

Here's one of the others:

I think those are again roots sticking out, now at the top (stem at the bottom). Is this one the appropriate depth? Should I be tried to match this? Or are they both wrong?

Also, I haven't entirely gotten their space ready, yet. Would it be better for them to repot them until their space is ready (probably a few days to a week) or leave them as they are to minimize moving them? I guess the question is: will they be happier possibly questionably potted for a little longer but only moved once or getting moved twice?

Any advice to help them do best once planted would be appreciated.

Thank you,
