OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! Thank you, all of you!!!! My son borrowed my computer for the evening, so I missed the spectacular unfolding of all of those door colors. I absolutely LOVE looking at the different colors. Each one changes the whole look of the house so much. What a wonderful resource you all are. I am humbled, thank you. At first glance I am loving the plummy-grey brown. It satisfies my urge for a red door, while incorporating the beige of the house and the brown shutters AND the grey roof. Brilliant. Oakleyok, you suggested a wreath. Great minds! I had a lovely spring wreath on the door, but the birds decided they wanted to use it for nesting material. We were treated to a constant scrabbling noise as they tried to remove the twigs from the wreath -- so I had to temporarily take it down. Right now it's hanging on the INSIDE of the door. mclarke, yes, my floors are hardwood, a Brazilian Teak, in other rooms, I have a walnut travertine. I am afraid to try and paint the doors to match the beautiful doors I have in that room, I just can't get that look out of a paint. Or maybe there is something else out there that could closely mimick the stained wood?

Everything white except the garage door (including the pergola).

Your house looks more craftsman than country. Especially the design on the windows in the door and sidelights. That said, if the doors and sidelights are wood, I’d rather see the paint stripped and just stain the door a nice medium to dark stain. If they are not wood and need to be painted, I’d go with an olive green, but I actually like the yellow they are now and you could even go more into a mustard. The trim should not be painted to match the door unless you also paint the trim around all the windows. The window trim currently matches the trim around the door, which looks fine IMO. I’d even say strip and stain the window trim if that’s what you do with the door. Just my two cents. Hope you find a solution that you LOVE! Good luck!
