Paint entry hallway

Cool gray with wood trim (pine)

Preparing my house for sale, so I'm in the process of painting nice, attractive neutral colors. I was going with BM Abalone for a lot of my areas/rooms, but after painting my entry/hall, I'm reconsidering. The first floor of my house has pine trim, stained an amber color. I'm not loving what it does to the Abalone. The tones change a lot based on the light, time of day. But when it goes blue/violet, it seems to really clash with the wood trim.

Am I overthinking this? The second pic is another 90's house that stood out to me on Zillow - freshly painted, but the gray just looks "ugh" to me (even with the gray carpet). I want the paint to accentuate, not detract.

Do I need something with a warmer tone?

Here is a better image with the tarps removed. Also one of the hall wall. As you'll note, we have a lot of wood trim. Maybe I'm overthinking this - but I don't look at it and go "wow". Instead I see a 90's house trying to be "hip", and using a color that instead makes it look older/dated. My second floor has white trim - so the 8 gallons of Abalone could at least get some use there (maybe)

Note that my carpeting is a neutral/beige.....you can just see it (dining room) in the picture below). But the stairs/living have the same color, and all open to this space.

White painted trip could look very good, but I rather like your pine. It looks to be in super condition. How about just painting the crown moulding and baseboards? (That's presuming you want to go through all the pain Kristie mentions. Ayayay. Or hire a good pro, of course.) Leave the doors and the fireplace, which is so beautiful, for now. You can always paint them later. What I would not do is have a wood-framed mirror on the mantel, the two woods are disagreeing like a grumpy old married couple. Does cool toned grey work with red cherrywood cabinets? Accent colors?

I think you are right. I painted the wall on the right in a warmer color and it looks better with the floor and what I think is carpet. I made the kitchen white. You could buy bar stools in the accent color you choose.I will leave it to the pros to suggest colors by name.

Looks great! Removing that pot rack made a huge difference and the floors look beautiful. Agree with chocolatesnap though, take everything down from the tops of the cabinets and leave them clean/clear from anything. Platters up there say to me the kitchen lacks the storage to store them and that is NOT what you want buyers thinking when they are standing in your lovely kitchen.

No, they do not match. Search for LVP that has a different wood tone, browns & grays mixed...that can work if you find the right one. Sorry to be a stickler but your grammar is off. It's either "does my floor" or "do my floors".
