What kind of bed side table do you have?
Comments (2)I think that glass tables and dark wood can work if the styles have a similar feel (traditional, vintage, modern etc). The tables you posted above seem modern, is your furniture modern too? The only thing that scares me about glass tables is that they seem fragile, but I'm biased as I have young kids in the house and try to stick with sturdier items....See Morewill tan/brown walls go with burnt orange accents
Comments (10)thanks for the link sue! I like the colors--although not sure my husband will go for the print--he wants to stay away from florals this time around. I was at Bed Bath and Beyond tonight and they had several sets of drapes in the burnt orange/ brown scheme, as well as pillow, throws, and art work. And, walmart also had some nice pillows in the orange/turquoise/brown scheme in the bedding section. Normally, I don't like the quality of walmart home items, but I had really good luck with an animal print comforter (much much better quality and much cheaper than one I got at Macy's that only lasted me six months). Walmart also had some nice kitchen rugs in the burnt orange. I am finding burnt orange everywhere--which makes it so much easier. I thought it might have gone out of style as I loved it about 7 years ago. I am excited as now I have a vision in mind. Hopefully picking a paint color won't be as difficult as the last time around when I was picking yellow paint. I am going to look at the stone hearth. My friend has valspar lyndhurst timber and it looks really nice. Also, will look at the Mississippi mud....See MoreIdeas for accent pillows & decor to go w/drapes & rug in L. Room
Comments (26)lynartish, thanks for taking the time to "photoshop" in the pillows. As for the lighting in the room, that is the result of poor quality photo taking from my phone. I turned the lights on to help show of each one. Just a little bit of info: The window treatments are "set up" to keep "gawkers" from looking into our home. Unfortunately, our street has become extremely busy over the years, and we get a lot of people going by the front and there really isn't much distance between the front of the house and them. When we have company, we typically do pull back the sheers along with drapes. Apple pie order, I like the idea of repositioning/extending the drapery rods. If any of you ladies have photos of your living room, I'd love to see them. Maybe I could steal a tip or two from you....See MoreI need an accent color to go with Agreeable Gray
Comments (20)Wow! Yes ..color needed. I love the window treatments. Do you think I should use the same fabric for the sliding doors too? Also, my husband keeps adding this stuff (the frame, green plants on floor, the medallion lol while I'm at work. He's semi retired and pushes me to hurry to make decisions. I didn't want an accent wall, and after agreeing ..we met at paint store but he didn't want drastic color lol). We've been married 40 years ..I need your help! Please continue to correct and suggest! I have no clue how you added the lamp behind the chair, etc! ..special app?? Thank you!!...See MoreRelated Professionals
