Need Help 'De-selecting' some Teas
Comments (15)Mme de Tartas, also sold as General Tartas, is a terrific rose. Get it. Bloom vary from very double to just semi-double, depending on weather. G. Nabonnand is a very floriferous rose, but just semi-double, which might blow quickly in your climate. Mme Charles is a terrific apricot-fading to cream rose, probably sold under other names as well, including Safrano. (There is also a different rose sold as Safrano). Mme Wagram has not been healthy here. It will be composted. Souv. de Victor Hugo is a small grower for me, very similar to MmeMlle Jeanne Phillipe. Gen. Gallieni is famous in hot Australian climates. Almost single, in the color of a blood orange, coppered. Mine is not a great clone. I have a found plant of Rainbow. Another small grower, very floriferous. We have no blackspot on Teas here, so I can't speak to that....See MoreNeed help in selecting some plants for a wildflower walk
Comments (2)Black sludgey mess? Is it very wet there, outside the recent rain that is? Woodland soil is usually moist and rich with organic material but not "sludgey." It is more like compost than sludge. Soil that is wet all the time could be described as being rather "gooey" or sludgey. You may wish to wait on your plantings right now. See what plants grow there naturally throughout this season. What plants grow there, may give an indication of what types of plants you could plant there next season. Might be less frustrating and more fruitful for you in the long run. FataMorgana...See MoreI need some direction on furniture selection please
Comments (28)sheesharee, so glad I'M not the ONLY one :) I had my camera with me for the first outting with DH (and forgot to use it, kicked myself in the car after we left) because of course NOW I cannot remember the important details I need to for determining if it will work. We went out again last night and was very frustrated, DIDNT bring the camera or the measuring tape, went home telling DH that we are just going to keep the furniture we have and deal with it. (that was the frustration speaking) Nothing I liked was something he liked. Considered just removing the patterned couch, moving the green chair over in it's place, replacing the green chair with a round table/table lamp etc in that corner by the fp pulling down an ottoman from the attic that is 1/2 way redone and finishing it and just moving on. Oh well, we will see....I'm going to start working on those tables and see what I can do with them. I'm thinking about a darker stain. something along the lines of the colors in the frames on the pics I have in there now, would that be too dark? Eventually *much bigger, more involved project* would be to redo the ET center. I'll redo the legs on the chair and purple couch at the same time....See MoreNeed some help selecting the right sofa
