Any thoughts on these RVR mystery roses?
Comments (3)The only one's I've gotten a decent feel for are #1 & #2. #1 took off the moment I put it in the ground, and has been growing like crazy...but no rebloom and I recall it having a traditional rose scent. #2 has been in the ground the same amount of time, but has hardly grown, it has however bloomed 3 times this summer (although only 1 or 2 blossums at a time....not much scent either......See MoreRVR Mystery Roses...
Comments (1)Tammy, send the photos to Janet at RVR - I asked her if she would look at my mystery roses and try to ID them and she said she would be happy to. I have 4 that I am going to photo and send to her when they bloom. Bet she will know exactly what they are. Good luck!...See MoreRVR mystery ID?
Comments (10)One of those two lavender-pink HMs looks like a good match to me, too. Lucky you, Kelly! I was thinking of ordering one someday. Their delicate colors compliment purple Gallicas, and they continue blooming through autumn which makes them nice additions to Gallica beds. :-) both are listed as zone 6, though. Protect them? Pot them? Make your garden a "trial garden"? Carol...See MoreMystery rose from RVR
Comments (6)Nice, Paul! I didn’t realize it could grow so large. Maybe I could plant it out in the garden then, instead of keeping it potted? Do you have any thoughts about the rose labeled ‘Yesterday’? It’s the last photo I posted. It’s much redder than any of the pictures I see of it on HMF. BTW, I didn’t realize there was a difference between ‘Red Moss’ and ‘Old Red Moss’. Since RVR only carries ‘Red Moss’ (Henri Martin), that’s my other mystery rose, that you identified last spring. My mistake:) Thanks for all your help. I’m loving each and every one of your roses. I’m slowly acquiring most that will grow here. Lisa...See Morepat_bamaz7
