I like the teal. The navy is a little somber with the dark sofas (that are gorgeous). Maybe if you added some teal else where (like the sofa pillows) it would balance things out.

Definitely the navy. It’s more in keeping with the feel of the room. The teal will jump out and I don’t think that should be the purpose of a large piece of furniture.

I don't think the teal will work without other decor changes to bring the color in elsewhere (pillows for the sofa, art over the fireplace). The navy might work because it is less attention-getting, but you might do better to keep looking for something in a stained wood.

Two of my favorite colors! I have a black console similar in style to the one you posted in my main living area and then I have the upright version of the same one in my dining room in teal. I get lots of compliments on the teal!

I really want to love the teal as it's one of my favorite colors, but I think the shade is off ever so slightly but enough to make it wrong for your space. Thr navy is the safer choice, but it blends beautifully with all of your other elements. I think the teal could be a tiny bit garish.

No offense to anyone, but liking the color is very different than thinking the color works in the OP’s room.

The teal and pick up the color in pillows, and other small objects. The navy is too dark and somber with your other pieces. The room needs a pop of color.

The navy is much more sophisticated. I think a darker teal could work, but your example has way too much green. Add your pop of color to art above the fireplace and on pillows instead. I don't think you want the main focus to be the console under a TV.

I’m planning to replace the coffee table with a larger balustrade style one in a dark finish. I think we need something a bit larger there.

I’m open to adding teal accents through the room but I agree with some of the concern about that particular unit not being the right shade. I also agree we need some color, but I’m probably not going to be able to convince my husband on the navy.

We also considered another option in a wood finish but couldn’t make a decision on that one either. My ideal is the French casement console from Restoration Hardware but alas $$$. Considering trying to build something at this point...

I think it would be better to have a lower longer console for a larger TV. Also move your sofa away from the walls and consider adding blue drapery panels.

That cabinet in any color puts your TV too high for proper placement you need an actual TV cabinet like the ones above.

Prefer a color in between - like beverly posted. I echo what everyone else said: the navy works much better, but it is kind of dark and drab. I really like the teal color, but i don't know if it works that well with the rug, and i think it will stand out like a sore thumb unless you shift the whole design toward teal -- which is not something i think you want to do. There are definitely blue colors in between that would work.
