Paint color suggestions for kitchen
Comments (2)I like BM Danville Tan, I have it in my kitchen. It's sort of a tan with green undertones, I have gotten so many compliments on it. I think it would look pretty with your colors. It looks different at different times of day. Good luck!...See MorePaint color problems, please help me decide.
Comments (1)I haven't used these particular colors, but of your two choices, I think Antique White with Macadamia would be better. There is too little contrast between the colors with the other combination for my taste. Are these your choices or were they given to you to choose from? If these are your choices, have you considered using Antique White for the cabinets with Basket Beige for the walls? I think Basket Beige is a richer color than Macadamia, but I'm not crazy about it with Softer Tan. Or, maybe changing to Creamy (SW 7012) or Roman Column (SW 7562) for your lighter color?...See Moreplease help me decide- I am going crazy trying to pick cabinet color.
Comments (4)This is what I did in my kitchen, dining, great room....Hickory floors, Homerwood, random plank, factory finished in Saddle. Interior doors, solid wood ( for staining purposes, my builder used mahogany), and I chose the darkest color in the Hickory floor) for 12' bar and doors. Cabinets, walls, trim, painted in the appropriate finishes, Divine's Icing, sample is not showing true...gorgeous warm white. BTW, that a Japanese antique kimono on the wall. Doesn't show the beauty in the photo....See MoreHelp me decide on paint color please.
Comments (13)What is the color palette for your home? I love teal greens and have them throughout my home. I used BM Quiet Moments in my in my bathroom and SW Silver mist in my guest bedroom, but those colors worked with the teal green slate tiles in my foyer and the teal green in my area rug in my living room. Those colors work with the smoky purples and taupes that are in the rest of my home. My sister's color palette is more fall colors, with olive greens and burnt orange and golds. Teal would look out of place in her home. Selecting colors one room at a time can leave us with a home that lacks harmony instead of rooms that speak to one another and feel like one cohesive plan. Here are some sample whole home color palettes. The colors you have chosen work well with most colors. The grays are very cool, clean grays, so you have to watch for some colors looking a bit too muddy or dirty next to them, but most green grays will go fine. Here is a photo from BM showcasing October Mist with cool grays. It wouldn't work in my house, but would work very well in my sister's home....See MoreK Laurence
