Painted my ceilings with a matt finish with just the slightest sheen and the light reflections highlighted every imperfection and then repainted with the same color, but in a perfectly flat paint. Comments (1)Even professionals do not do a perfect job. If you wore the correct respirator, and have cleaned everything up correctly, you now have a house without friable asbestos in the ceiling. I bought an oversized metal spatula thing i think used for wall paper, big water sprayer and 3 step ladder, lots of plastic tarps. Easy, just lots of work. Comments (3)Why not just do a skim coat of joint compound over it - or get a drywall person to do it. No 'disturbing' potential asbestos and even if there was, it's safely encapsulated. Several youtube videos on this....See MoreUser
