Where do you store your deck furniture cushions?
Comments (11)We also have one of those Rubbermaid storage containers but ours is at least chest high (top lifts up and 2 doors swing out). It holds the double cushions of 6 chairs, a chaise lounge, and 4 folding chairs (all match). We've used it for many years (7 or 8 maybe??) and it's held up well and protected the cushions, etc. in all kinds of weather (winter snows, spring/fall rains, summer thunderstorms, tail ends of hurricanes). It even stayed closed the couple of times we've had near-hurricane force winds and the container itself was pushed around the deck (railings kept it on the deck)...cushions, etc. stayed nice and dry inside the container! We have a smaller one on the front porch that holds the double cushions for 4 chairs that also has works fine. Interestingly, we have had a couple of wasp or hornet nests in the one on the porch, but never in the one on the deck....See MoreBuying used furniture. What is worth it? How do you make it work
Comments (64)Well apparently I stink at this and don't see issues with furniture. :p I guess I need to work on that. Looking at these few now. This is kind of a walk through Boop's learning how to buy used furniture thread or furniture in general I Think. I like this set from Vanguard. I think I read that is a decent name. I don't know why but I really like the warmth of the orange. It says Best offer and is from furniture land south. I have no idea what is reasonable to offer. I really like these, but I think the arms might be too high for everyday use.... These look too lumpy right? this is a pair of Baker sofas. Good price I think. Velvet, but I love that and the price is so good I think I could deal with that and the cleaning or recovering the cushions at some point. To the person who said I was all over the place it is true. There is really nothing I am married to in this room ATM besides The IKEA birch expedit shelves and the TV. Well and the brick fireplace (we are thinking of putting in a pellet stove there) I am planning to paint the walls BM windswept. I think it will go with many colors and the kitchen which this room is open to. We currently have a sofa and loveseat. The sofa is shot (very ripped, not worth repairing I think) and the loveseat is OK. A cheap set overall....See MoreWhat color cushions with outdoor teak furniture
Comments (8)Thank you for the lovely throw pillow suggestions! They are beautiful. I think my biggest dilemma is picking the main cushions for the chairs. This is the collection: I am thinking a light tone would be bad, because it would stain more easily. Maybe tan or grey? I like the idea of picking up the blue in the throw pillows, so I wouldn't want that for the main cushions....See MoreWhere do you store the cushions to your outdoor furniture?
Comments (21)I looked at storage boxes but sometimes space and spending money on that may not work for everybody, and bringing them in and out was annoying on a daily basis... I bought a giant square cover that goes over the sectional couch and then the fire pit props out the empty corner - just throwing that over everything was the cheapest and easiest solution for me. I'll bring cushions in for the winter and use the same cover over the furniture frames, even if I have to buy a new cover every year or 2 it still made the most sense. Any recommendations for patio furniture that is comfortable WITHOUT cushion, please post! :)...See MoreUser
