Paint kitchen island french country cream with glaze- help please
Comments (15)Wow...unbelievable Before and After, Twg7590 ! Beautiful, simply beautiful. Blondie2007, Using Twg's pic you've seen what some white paint (any shade of white) can do with a little prep work, patience and time. It's really not hard. And the end results are 9 times out of 10 so worth it! Actually, the hardest part for me when painting anything is the preparation (prep-removing hardware, door fronts, good cleaning, light sanding, good primer, etc.) of the item so that I get a really good, long-lasting, durable painted item. Personally, if you aren't happy with what you have, paint it! What have you got to lose? *smile* And there are so many people here who really know their stuff when it comes to painting and glazing cabinets so you'll be in great hands should you need some help or encouragement along the way....See MorePlease please help me decide on hardware finish for kitchen
Comments (5)Even though I tend to be a "mitchy-matchy" person, my CKD said to remember that all metals should be considered neutral. I have SS appliances, sink, faucet. ORB hardware seemed to look better with the tortoise ceramic floor, bronze glaze on the cabinets, and darker wood trim on the cabinets in our rustic kitchen. We were also able to get samples to look at. I think it was good advice to look at overall tones/colors and not just the other metals. I also liked all pulls. Excuse any picture problems. I am just figuring that part out....See MorePlease Help! Design Challenged - Kitchen Hardware!!
Comments (9)My granite is Sienna Bordeaux/Typhoon Bordeaux (our granite yard used the name interchangeably). The whole kitchen remodel was planned around it. The big reveal will be coming -- soon I hope. Had a few glitches along the way. Range hood installation is taking very, very long. Contractor that was doing it didn't bother to pre-measure so that the vent was placed in the right place -- he thought the old vent space for OTR MW would be fine for a chimney hood --- wrong!!!!! (Only about 12" or 15" too low) So now, a lot of tile backsplash will have to be pulled out & bracing put in behind the wall (vent will run right through a stud). Anyway, I know you will choose beautiful hardware for your cabinets. There is so much to choose from!...See MorePlease help! Need pics of sea cliff gray LG quartz
Comments (9)The movement is what you see. The color is what you see. There's a photo below with very bad seam placement, which should have been located at the middle of the sink. A case of a fearful fabricator, is my guess. As with ANY quartz, don't expect matches in veining on perimeter turns in a top. It won't happen. The only way to see a full slab, is to find a fabricator in your area who happens to have a full slab. As with any top, make certain the quality of your fabricator, inspect your slab before a cut and polish, insist on a laser template, be at home for that template, discuss all SEAM PLACEMENT in advance with that fabricator. .................those are the rules. Or you may end with a seam, a well done seam....somewhere you do not want it....See MoreSteve Hsu
