Clever uses for old books

yoyobon_gw

Look at this clever idea using spines from old books glued onto a tall chicken broth can ( or any can that is as tall as the spines ).

Each spine is removed leaving 1/4" of cover down the length on each side.

After the first is glued on, the second one is turned under at the side and glued against the first and so on.

How cute is that !

Cute idea! Those must have been very small books, judging by the size of the thumb in the photo. :)

Yes clever, but I always worry that the crafter used the last copy of a wonderful forgotten book, and that now the book is lost forever. I know that many a book has been published that is not worth preserving, but I still wonder.
