Repair garage door post

I want to push this garage door post back 2 inches. Would using a pry bar accomplish this?

Also, I see the door track on the right extending down below the sill plate... The Sledge Hammer solution will result in rquiring that track to be cut of... and if now plumb, whacking it GN Builders "tool" will likley cause the door to rack so as to bind up.

I have a Craftsman GDO that suddently developed the following problem. When closing the door with a remote the door will only travel a few inches and then stop (as if it struck an object) and reverse direction. I have to repeatedly press and repress the remote to coax the door all the way closed. When I shut the door with the wired button it will close all the way only if I keep the button depressed until closed. I have NO problem opening the door. My shower door fell off! It is a corner shower where the door swings out from the two side panels. It has a metal frame. The door was held in place by a top and bottom small L-shaped piece that is screwed into a a long hinge (like a piano hinge?). The top L-piece is gone (looks like the screw was stripped) and I can't seem to find a replacement. Neither the local hardware store or Home Depot carries such a piece. A local glass place that sells and installs shower doors indicated that I would have a difficult time finding such a piece. I really don't want to have to replace the whole glass shower at this time! Any suggestions on where to find my missing piece (and yes I looked all over the bathroom for it!). I've searched some internet sites, but can't seem to find the right thing. Thanks!

Why does the post need to move? Was it built/installed out of whack? If something caused it to move and the track was fixed to the post it should've moved with it. If the post moved but the track did not then whacking back in place shouldn't affect the track at all. If you're trying to move it forward a pry bar might get you some of the way there. I vote for the sledge hammer.

That track should clear the block, assuming that is how was originally installed hard to tell from this picture.

Look closely... the track extends down well below the sill. The track must be attached to the post or the door raising or lowering would be free to move front to back..

The question remains, "Is the post plumb as is"
