Living Room/Dining Room Design ideas

Just moved to Fl. This is a rental property...one huge room that functions as office, dining room and living room. My colors are blue, white, gray and silver. Walls are gray, floor is wonky grayish. I bought this leather sectional so I'm stuck with it. Red rug is from old house...it's going. Need a dining room table and chairs, artwork, rugs and new blinds and drapery. Desk is a red toned wood (hate it, I hate mixing wood color, but hubby won't let it go) so I'm stuck with it! UGH! I had all tuscan heavy wood furniture up north, want to go more Beachy coastal elegant. Hubby getting new TV wall mounted. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Been shopping for dining room table for a month, having design breakdown!

You have a lot going on in a tiny space! AND you say the word, 'wonky,' like I do - you from New York by any chance?

Anyway - the big piece that neither of us seem thrilled with - would that fit rotated to the wall immediately to it's right? It would make it less of a focal point and with a nice desk, small shelf and a painting above where it is now - you have a much more functional space & hopefully something that takes the eye away from the big piece...

From there it seems console table or small bookcase the L side of the couch would set up something that defines a small circular table for a dining area.

Thanks for the response! From Chicago...just fell in love with the word wonky, heard it on FB, look up Grandma and Wonky Donky story - hilarious! Anyway, big desk will not fit anywhere but that wall behind couch. Dining room table goes to left of it, big marshmallow couch in front of wonky colored desk with bookcases. Stuck that way!

Cute place, i see the challenge, but I am really against a sectional in this space let alone for guest to have to sit next to each other it creates a weird dynamic. I hope you are not planning to put the tv over the fireplace that would also be a neck breaker. I see the couch on the side the two red chairs. the tv on the wall with the lockers and 2 chairs to the dining room side.

The table top in your inspiration pic caught my attention. It's not the usual furniture showroom table top. Will you be keeping dining table and couches for a while, as you mentioned you will be replacing? That will dictate suggestions for lighting, etc and even ideas for a better possible layout. https://blog.modsy.com/home-design-tips-guides/layout-guides/living-and-dining-room-layout-designs/ If replacing shortly, if you could provide more details in regards to your taste, needs, and style. Either way, could you provide better pictures of the whole space and what your plans are with the furniture. Repainting, if you go that route, should be the last decision.
