Comments (18)Karen, perhaps you're busy..When you get a chance, please post pictures.. Purple..how on earth do you post a link that leads to a plant in the middle of a paragraph? Does it require a software program? Tiff and Need2. I thought D. Warneckii's color was lime-green. There's so many stripped Dracaenas, at times it's impossible making an accurate ID. Tiff...I got this guy on Ebay, 2009. Another stripped Dracaena, but no variety name. Dracaena is not warneckii, but it's another stripped variety. I love Aralias, but they're very difficult..especially during winter. Aralia is another plant that has several varieties..one reason I can't wait to see Karen's new babies. HD has a few types, but since I kill them, I must pass them up! Aralias know better not to jump in my cart. lol....See MoreBluestar Problems Persist

Yup, that is kinda what she done. Er, Lgrdh I mean. In the Viking thread. Where she says to the Forum, in regards to her Viking decals problem, "I would never buy another Viking product" and "This product is completely worthless". Human nature is funny. Selective memory, selective reasoning. I also find the variabilities of human nature are evident in contrasting that long Viking thread with the recent Bluestar threads. No one in that Viking thread flames anyone. No one says the complainers are imagining their problems, or that their problems aren't legitimate. The thread was regarded as an interesting compilation of issues with a particular manufacturer. Even the oft-harsh Guadalupe provided a reasonable post. Why are the BS people so different? Why so antagonistic on both sides? Why the anger when a BS owner enumerates repairs? I guess we need a psychologist to chime in!...See MoreThe strangest, persistent odour
Comments (61)For years we had a dead animal smell appear at the far end of the basement. I took down trim and insulation looking for it. It made us crazy because it only happened when we went to that end and the smell took 10 minutes to fill the whole basement, enough stink to chase us out. Yesterday my wife said there was no smell after rearranging the basement for hours. Today I googled "smells" again and read this thread, then remembered I had changed several plastic light fixtures with porcelain a 2 months earlier. One had a cracked insulator prompting the changes. Wow. So far we can now turn on the lights at that end with no smell!...See MoreEchinacea and Echinacea Rosette Mite; where are we?
Comments (2)I have seen mite damage in my Echinacea this year and it's so sad. I purchased 3 plants from nurseries and was so excited. I had a bit of money to buy some plants this year and in other years I just couldn't afford it and now I'm just sick at the damage. I've also noticed that the past two years I had Cheyenne Spirit, two quite large plants, and they didn't come back this spring. I'm not the best at marking my plants and I've noticed that I'm also missing Harvest Moon which bloomed in abundance last year. I still have Secret Affair and Catarina. Secret Affair refuses to "grow up" or spread out. It has stayed the same size for 4 years. I clear out anything that tries to crowd it so it can enlarge, but to no avail. I also purchased a Double Decker, but it's looking like a regular Echinacea purpurea. There's nothing double about it although there are two full blooms. I purchased it when I was out of town. If the nursery was close I'd take it back, but it doesn't even seem worth the trouble to write or call. I hope they didn't do it on purpose. Heidi...See MoreUser
