Bijou question...

I just received two of these, which I ordered from Donahue's. My plan is to grow them in pots, in my front entryway urns (I'll plant the pots and place them in the urns - pot-in-a-pot). I was thinking that I would overwinter them in the pots, and if they eventually outgrow that I will plant them in the garden. Or, if they don't seem happy at my front entry, I'll just go ahead and put them in the garden before they get into real trouble.

My question(s): I overwinter quite a few hostas in my garage and they do very well... is it the same technique with clematis?

And - they're small right now, can anyone suggest some annuals to combine with them to jazz-up the pots a bit?

Thanks!
