We just purchased a large craftsman built in 1930. We have high ceilings with lots of woodwork and coffered ceilings. The hardwood floors are in great shape overall. My project dilemma: i like modern fresh calming cool colors (light grays and whites) but the previous owners have made a mess of colors and the trim. The floors do need to be refinihsed (they are worn and have bumpy spots on them makes me believe it was a handyman job that didn't do it well). The tiles and grout lines look awful and paint drips all over the wood. So my question is: what modern gray colors would look good in this room? also idon't want to paint this trim but open to paint part of it likethe floor trim and picture rail only? i dont know. its a big space. feeling a bit overwhelmed. ceilings between the wood work will be white
