Comments (12)Can you show a picture of the countertop from above so we can see the colors? Without being able to see the colors, I'd be inclined to choose a lighter color from the stone (ivory? warm gray?). Something cool to contrast with the warm wood cabinets, but not so cool that it will be out of place. I think it's important to keep the color light....See MoreI need backsplash recommendations!

Comments (7)What's so dated about it? I think it's fine. I'm not a fan of the 4" backsplash and think that is an element that is out of style but plenty of other folks have them and are quite happy with their kitchens and don't consider them dated. So pick one or the other -- 4" backsplash and paint, or tile all the way down to the counter -- and call it done....See MoreKitchen tile backsplash recommendations
