Any suggestions on a brand that would work? I'm open to suggestions to any brand that will offer me a solution that will work :). Also --- regarding Armacost: Armacost has a dimmer which goes between the power supply and the lights. Would it be possible to mount this under the cabinet (one for each of the UCL runs) and just use the wall switch to turn the lights on/off? So, letâÂÂs say I have the dimmer set to 100%. Wow- I've never been requested before...I think I'm blushing. I do not think that casa blanca looks too creamy at all in "my light"- I almost wish sometimes we went a bit creamier, but then we were afraid of running into it looking too yellow against all of our oak. It does look like a very classic off white though, does not look at all like a "color". I would try buying a quart and painting a poster board or door or something with a few coats and hold it upright. For some reason, the color looks more "white" when vertical instead of laying down on the workspace, know what I mean? Good luck! Navajo white did look too grey in my house, too.

I've been gone since about 8 this morning; what a wonderful surprise to come home to so many answers and websites to drool over!! Thank you all so much for the links!!! My DH and I are going to build a simple ranch style home in the country, probably in 2010 (I wish this year, but I don't see it happening...the clock is ticking too fast!). I'm not sure I should be thinking of putting a period or unfitted kitchen in a new ranch, but I'm really drawn to them. But I also really like some of the contemporary and transitional kitchens. I just need to decide which way I lean the hardest and what DH will like, too. I checked out Martha Stewart's kitchen and she mentioned adding decorative wooden brackets to keep her cabinets from looking too contemporary. I have never been able to have any display space and I have my grandmother's dishes and a few of my mom's "antiques" I'd like to use. They'd be more comfortable in an unfitted or period kitchen. I'm guess I'm just looking for THE inspiration kitchen. Thank you so much!!! I'm sure a lot of people are going to enjoy these links! Sorry to run, but I gotta go drool over some of them!! LOL!

There are a lot of corners in the foundation, the roof structure was not cheap either. A two story home is cheaper because the foundation is smaller as would be the roof. We have a stairway to above the garage and we put attic trusses up there to have head room and storage. We did expand the foot print of the home a bit. We purchased Tedd Wood cabinets, tile( no fiberglass showers), hardwood floors and we had to get impact glass for our windows which added 20k to the price. We also used Trex decking which is not cheap, stone work on the outdoor columns and we used Azek on the outside trim, soffits and front porch ceilings. For the shingles we used pre-dipped white cedar shingles. We also epoxied the cellar and garage floors. We did expand the garage. I know someone who built a bigger one level and probably spent around the same amount but they do not have a basement and tried to go cheaper on siding, cabinets, countertops and tile but their home looks very nice. It all adds up and very quickly! We are 58 and 63 so we figured this was our last home and wanted it to be nice. If I could change anything I would change a few things. I wanted LVP floors because we have grandchildren but my husband felt the house was so nice it would cheapen it. I hate my floors. I have to clean up every little water drip or it may turns the grooves in the wood black. I bought dolomite for my island which I love but it was expensive. Other than that I love my home and we get many compliments on it when people come over. Everyone seems to love it.
