Comments (73)I cant say that it is very different from the love I feel for my daughter and sons. But, there is a special happiness from knowing our family is expanding to another generation. Our three kids are now 37, 34 (DD) and 29. We privately wondered if we would ever be blessed with grandchildren. The two boys (I should probably call them men at this point) are still light years from marriage. We are hoping DD and SIL will have another. Comments (13)Just took THIS photo, no parents were present. (My husband mowed the wild grasses yesterday, per the HOA rules, to keep the fire danger down. That's when he found the nest...when he was hand clipping around the shrub.) The nest is built on the ground under a potentilla shrub. The speckled eggs are cowbirds, the plain ones, a junco. Right off a nature show! I hope the parents return.......See More

This primrose and several others have returned for at least five years every Spring. They must really enjoy the spots they are in. The white is even bigger this year.
7 years agoHappy Easter! Which would you choose - 14 oz. solid milk chocolate bunny or colored hard boiled egg? DS choose the the chocolate bunny. Wise choice.
7 years agoNot exactly an Easter parade, but still festive and still a parade.
I remember being disappointed as a child when I got an chocolate Easter bunny and it was hollow instead of solid. We got free chocolate Easter eggs at the grocery store yesterday.
7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoThey were supposed to be white. Umm, didn't turn out that way. I asked Daddy if he wanted any plants for his yard and the only one he said was Columbine. When I said do you care what color, he said as long as they're Columbine, I'm good. Dug them up today (Lolo will come get them May 18). "Had" to take the flowers off so it'll put all the energy into roots. Easter bouquet. Dug some purple clematis flowered too. Glad someone wants them. I like yellow flowers, just not in that flowerbed!
