This wall looks completely off to me. I think the existing light is too low but it can’t be moved up (wires aren’t long enough). I could add a new junction box about a foot higher (have to confirm) and fill in old hole. I’m leaning towards adding another sconce further up the stairs where you see green tape (but at the highest mark) to try and balance it. I also think the wall is pretty plain and needs some texture, leaning towards a wall paper or a framed wall wood plank rectangle so it doesn’t extend down the stairs, if that makes sense. Any thoughts or suggestions?
