Abuse of Power = Impeachment

heri _ cles

Abuse of Power is not an indictable offense.

Neither is repeatedly lying to the American people.

But that conduct falls far short of what a President is required to do under the law and has resulted in Articles of Impeachment in the past.

Democrats need to grow some courage and commence Impeachment Hearings.

If they back down now, it' game over for them in 2020.

Don't . back . down.

I agree with you Heri that it's Congress' obligation to begin impeachment proceedings. However, I don't know if it's a good idea. With such partisan republicans in the Senate. it would be very difficult to make impeachment happen.

Respectfully disagree, Heri. At least some stuff came out of the Mueller probe, for those willing to listen. Nothing comes of failed attempts at impeachment. Nothing positive, anyway. Gather ammo for the campaigns. That’s what Dems should be doing. And finding a winning candidate while they’re at it.

But half of Congress won't do it and for the other half it's a big risk. I am thinking it's the duty of the American people to remove a criminal president. If we don't, shame on us.

The senate has not and will not hold Donnie to account.

We are simply lucky he hasn't done worse, but there is time yet and he will.

Count on it.

The Mueller Report is what we thought it would be, Mueller didn't do with it what we hoped he would do. He leaves it to our system of government and the voters to handle.

We out number the cult.

We show up November 2020 and make November 2018 look like a blue trickle.

Please no catkin, hope they go for impeachment. They already look like they are keeping Reynolds Wrap in business making tin hats. Maybe we'll see Schiff and Swalwell's evidence of collusion that Mueller and forty FBI agents couldn't find. Heck maybe those right here on HT who had the evidence can submit it for the impeachment proceedings. The American people can't wait.

Like a prosecutor who does not go to trial unless they can win, neither will the Democrats. I forgot Mrs. that Mueller was a democrat! You go to great lengths to support someone who did not garner your vote and quite frankly, it makes you seem ridiculous.

You had a fit about a consensual bj. This pig is raping the country.

The Russians have not bought everyone yet.

"...Rusal, the aluminum company partially owned by Russian oligarch Oleg
Deripaska, announced plans to invest around $200 million to build a new
aluminum plant in Kentucky just months after the Trump administration
removed it from the U.S. sanctions list.
"The new aluminum plant, slated to be built in the home state of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell...

No one wants to start impeachment proceedings - it would be so much easier to win at the polls. However, if Congress doesn't start impeachment that means that the president is above the law even though he committed crimes. It is truly Congress' job to impeach him in the name of the rule of law even though politically it's not something they care to do.

Confirmation that J.D. Gordon only acted to change the RNC platform to
benefit the Kremlin because it "directly contradicted Trump's wishes."

LOL, I didn't have a fit over the bj redsox. I think there was perjury in there somewhere. I had a fit over the fact that Hillary tried to destroy the women her husband assaulted. And dems were happy to support her.

Ridiculous? I'm not the one who refuses to accept the findings of the Special Counsel and the AG. I'm loving every minute of watching the left melt down all over again. I'm waiting for the pictures of the flowing tears and screaming. It's Nov. 8, 2016 all over again.

I hope Dems try to impeach Trump. Bring it on.

Maybe then we can see Schiff's evidence which he's insisted he's seen.

John Dean, the former White House counsel for President Nixon, said Thursday that special counsel Robert Mueller's report was "more d@mning" than the Watergate report.

_______

Nixon resigned.

Back in the '70s some Republicans still had ethics.

I agree with FOAS......don't waste your ammunition on a failed impeachment. Gather the info,, organize it and fold it into a cohesive message for 2020....and pick the right candidate to deliver the message

Articles of Impeachment are a waste of time. By the time the proceedings make their way through the Congress, election day will have come and gone. Take this guy out with the trash that he is and leave him on the curb in 2020.

I think we are lily-livered chicken poops. Trump should be impeached. If for no other reason we should do it because he has made a mockery of the presidency and our country. We should do it because he is making fools out of his supporters. We should do it because doing the right thing isn’t usually the easiest thing. So what if the Senate won’t do the right thing? Congress still should.

You know what is sick- the left ate up this Russia/Trump collusion. Who needs Russia when we had our very own Intelligence Agency colluding against Trump. No wonder Obama did nothing. He was busy spying and colluding himself. To think that our own government intelligence agency would be in on sabotaging an election is the real crime. Just think if Trump was not elected, all this would have gone undetected. The fix would have continued. The smug tainted FBI and DOJ would still be in place and would only have gotten more emboldened. That is truly terrifying if you stop and think about it. Of course the left will not get it because the fix was in for their party. They don't care, their hate for Trump transcends the evil with the deep state!

I do think Barr will dig up all the dirt.

Reading all of these so called conspiracies, "the deep state" colluding, colluding, colluding, yada yada yada just make the posters look silly. You do realize that collusion was never something that anybody investigated, right? But carry on, being foolish and silly will likely not bode well in the next election go round.

You said that Barr was the Democrats Trojan Horse. How so? And why would waiting a year or so without Impeachment Hearings help....while Trump has Barr commence investigations into what the orangen of the Mueller investigation was ?

Ok, let's take the high road again like Michelle O advised in 2016 and get beaten by Trump in the critical MidWestern States again. Let's pass out pink pussy hats and la-la-la la-la about social issues and the environment while Trump hammers down on immigration, race and socialism motivating his base to vote with fear and loathing of different races and ethnic groups. Oh yes, let's nominate Mayor Pete and see how he fares against the orange alpha male on the debate stage.

You can't beat a bully unless you fight back like all he11. We have to keep the pressure on this guy every day he remains in Office. Taking a vacation post Mueller until the 2020 election is a sure recipe for another 4 years with that piece of garbage in the WH.

The House WILL vote to Impeach. That's not a "failed impeachment"
That goes down in history as an Impeachment... a major rebuke of a
President and a historical embarrassment.
Conviction and Removal won't matter much when Trump has less than a year left.
