Flowering Cactus ID
Comments (5)I really do not know very much about cacti, but it's stems are reminiscent of a Disocactus speciosus that I have, although darker, which does have read flowers. A picture of the whole plant would also be helpful. Does it look anything like these?... Here is a link that might be useful: Disocactus...See MoreAnybody Know it's Name? ID Help Please :-D
Comments (9)i think the leaves of yours are too large for o. delavayi. that one has leaf and flower of approx. the same size (very small). most species of these that i am familiar with are fall bloomers, except for x burkwoodii. o. fragrans and o. heterophyllus are probably the most frequently planted in the southeast and the difference in leaf form of juvenile and adult leaves may make it difficult to i.d. for the average gardener. i would just tell folk that "i have a tea olive shrub". :-)...See MoreWhat is it's name? help ID please

Comments (4)I thought Hebes used to be known as Veronica, now I'm just confused. They're definitely close relatives. The difference might be that most or all Hebes are evergreen while Veronica die back in the winter and can withstand more cold. Both are easily grown around these parts... I should get me some "whipcord" Hebe, them things are cool....See MoreRelated Professionals
