help me pick out night tables so this is not so matchy matchy
Comments (40)I like the two dressers and nightstand, with the metal bed and metal or metal and glass night table, then add an upholstered chair, wicker trunk. Maybe a wicker lamp base or lamp base with a burlap shade. No dust ruffle on the bed because of your doggies. Your photo of the coleman bed would look fine without the skirt, don't you think?...See MoreWife says I'm being too "Matchy Matchy"...need opinions!
Comments (24)Looking back at your room photos where you've asked us to ignore the furniture, I decided this time NOT to ignore the furniture and note that the new furniture you are considering is not that different from the old. You are exchanging black for brown and glass for wood, but the basic configurations are the same. And the dining tables, while different, seem to have the same basic style. My concern is that you're about to spend a bunch-o-money that won't have a major impact on the feel of the room. So I have to ask: what exactly are you trying to achieve? If you want to go more rustic/industrial, I think white wood shutters will be a big expense that, in the end, won't fit very well....See MorePlease help me choose vanity sconces for bath reno!
Comments (43)Hi SunnyDrew. I followed all that you wrote about the changes to this bathroom, because ours is almost identical to yours in the original state. It was very helpful to see the new mirrors in place in your first edition and know how that size mirror will look over that particular Vanity. I realize you have moved from that house, but I am think you might remember this...you changed from the overhead lighting to the 3 sconces. After you installed the sconces, do you remember if the light they provided was enough compared to what you used to have? Also, I wanted to see if you have any advice for me on how to get people to give advice on my question. I posted it a few days ago and only got one comment on the day I posted. Thanks for any tips!...See MoreNeed help choosing lighting
Comments (2)You can have totally different style lights in each space, but you might use the same finish for the metal portions. An example would be a dark bronze....See MoreRelated Professionals
