Black exterior/white interior windows for remodel
Comments (13)@jn3344...your post is so helpful! Thank you!! And I love your home. Gorgeous!!! I'm down to black on black Anderson100 or Marvin Integrity all Ultrex with black exterior and white interior, painted black. But I want to see a painted Ultrex product. It's hard for me to believe I won't be able to take a fingernail across it and scrape it off?. I'm probably borrowing trouble even considering this. I'm not sure if I was quoted incorrectly, but I my Marvin Integrity quote is actually less than the A100 quote (from different seller), which is why I'm considering the paint option. Why are windows so difficult? (And so many more decisions to make)...See MoreWhite exterior Black interior windows
Comments (16)We actually are doing this exact combination on our home right now. Our siding is dark grey and so we went with white windows because they popped next to the dark siding. Inside I fell in love with all the interior black window pictures and opted to black inside. We got our windows from Andersen and they were able to do that combo for us....See MoreNew lake house build: bronze or black windows with white interior?
Comments (22)I am building a beachfront home and we are going to be using Nuema viny impact windows. I cannot decide between black/black or bronze/bronze windows. I was told black in more $$$. The outside will be white/white with a light gray metal roof. The inside of house will be white with a sand color floor and will be luxury vinyl. The den and kitchen will have cathedral ceiling and the ceilings will be ship lap. Should I go with the black or bronze. I got samples of both colors. The colors are flat, not metallic... Need some help please!!! Here is a drawing of the house....white house/lt gray roof.........See MoreCan I do black exterior/black interior windows in main living area
Comments (6)Agree with Patricia - keep your windows. You're not going to want to cut holes in your house for them later and you might really miss the light. Plus removing windows is going to affect the appearance of the house from the outside. I assume someone thought long and hard about the window placement so if you remove some you will be negatively affecting the appearance of the house. Personally I don't agree with having half of your windows one color and half another, but this is something you will have to decide for yourself. I also think the black window thing is a trend which will pass in ten years or less, but there will be people who will disagree with me on that. All I know is that white has been used for hundreds of years but black has been used only rarely on just certain styles of homes. You don't need to replace your windows very often, so whatever you do you will be living with it for a long time....See MoreRelated Professionals
