The tile is a killer since there is so much of it, and it certainly does make a statement. I'm guessing you're leaning towards a bit more traditional? So at a minimum? A low-budget "fix"? 1) I'd get rid of any stained surfaces (door/trim) and instead paint. 2) I'd replace the three mirrors with rectangular-shaped framed mirrors. and replace the light bars above the mirrors with sconces. 3) You can just replace the vanity as a whole. If that's too much, at a minimum I'd replace the vanity faucet. If you can go beyond that, I'd replace the hexagonal sink with a rectangular sink. If you can still go further, I'd consider replacing the vanity top too. I'd reface the vanity with drawers with frame and panel drawer/door fronts that more resemble the traditional 6-panel doors.All that', it's probably easier to just replace the vanity as a whole. 4) You can degloss and paint the shower frames to get rid of the brassy color. 4a) The brass and glass surround on the back tub could be removed and replaced with a curtain. 5) I'd consider covering the existing glass with a topical frosted film. Not sure if the existing design will shadow through the film. But look at different films, their levels of opacity, and see it it'll work. 6) New towel bars, etc, to get rid of the brass. 7) A large throw rug on the floor in front of the two pedestal sinks might disguise the stepped floor tile pattern. Pulling out the Fridge wall would give me issues with the ceiling grid area though. damiarain, thanks so much, we think its pretty cool too :) You have a really nice plan and what you and cpartist have made looks like a good workspace. PirateFoxy, thanks, I have the same thoughts about the fridge placement. Ok here are my issues. I would prefer to vent outside, keeping the cooktop on the outside wall. Everyone seems to agree I should lose that doorway from elevator and I get it, I just would prefer to find another way around that. This plan pulls everything to the dining room/entry area and my goal was to expand into the family area and pull the work areas that way a bit. Perhaps moving the ovens, move the fridge to the left and make a 28" counter there? Make a peninsula off the exterior wall on the other side of the cooktop? The family room space I really want to become part of the kitchen, with a desk and an eat in area. When you walk up onto this main floor you walk into the dining area looking right at where the fridge is placed in this plan. This counter area, left of the sink, I am imagining open with maybe shelves, no uppers. Keeping the counters open near the sink and window. So when you look at it like this, I think you will agree that it should be open with no appliances there. I really appreciate as much input as I can get, thanks so much!

artemis_ma, I'd rather not walk from bathroom to closet through the bedroom (I get dressed after I shower). I definitely don't want to rely on my DH to remember to close the bedroom door behind him (because invariably he'll forget) so that I can go from bathroom to closet without putting on a show. I'd be in the same bind if the bedroom shades/drapes were opened while I was in the shower. (Why, hello, neighbor! lol) To each their own. =) Andrew Page, finally you tell us that yes, you need the 4th bedroom! This is information that should have been included in your original post. Off to delete the idea I was drawing up.... I'm assuming that, in addition to the stairway location, the center wall, front to back, that is one side of each module needs to stay as drawn on your plan. Is that true? If it isn't, then there is more flexibility for room lay-out, as damiarain's plan shows. That said, with all the changes that need to be made to make your plan more functional, why not consider other plans or other modular home manufacturers as katinparadise suggested to find one that meets your needs with little or no modifications. I would think that all the change orders required to modify your plan will increase the final cost. A frosted glass door for the upstairs laundry room would help (good idea) as One Devoted Dame suggested, but even so, I'd encourage you to find a way to add an additional natural light source for the upstairs hall. Our upstairs landing is open to the 2 story entry and the 6 x 6 window over the door but because the entry faces northwest, the upstairs landing and hallway aren't as brightly lit as I'd expected when we built, especially on gray days.

Thank you for comments so far! Cecelia - I appreciate your comments. I've been reading about the concept of the kitchen "work triangle". One of the concepts is that there shouldn't be more than about 10 feet between anchor points. The fridge and sink will be about 15' apart. Do you think that is an issue? Or is it okay given size of kitchen? NJ Mom - no; we are not wed to standard depth. We are looking at appliances later today and will look at counter depth. Thank you for suggestion. Wine fridge could be moved to other side. In fact, I was envisioning a small wet bar if at all possible at the end of the counter where the double ovens are. That would also allow for a small sink at the end of the wall for a quick wash of hands and/or 2d prep space. FJ - that is exactly what my wife wants! GN Builders - that was my thought in original post. Plus, you hit on the concept of the work triangle that I mention earlier in this post.
