Comments (4)Real wood horizontal blinds will let in a lot of light between the slats (to wake you up at dawn), and can have a heavy look, so I wouldn't use those in a bedroom. I think a curtain will have the problems of proportion because you can't take them to the floor with the heat baseboards, while short curtains will look odd. I would go with roman shades as Deb Zilch mentioned; there are pretty fabrics you could get, and get them lined to make them light blocking.
