What a beautiful house! I can see why you bought it and I can also see why you hate the red & green combo. I actually like the dark cream colour of your trim, it looks great with the brick colour. If this were my house, I would paint everything that is red & green a medium charcoal and leave the dark cream as is. When the time comes, replace the roof with dark charcoal (the existing brown doesn't look good with your brick). Once you get rid of the red & green and everything looks calmer, re-assess. Getting the colours right may be a process. You have a very very cool house!

Thank you for all the comments. I really like Prospect Heights Row House with the Dark Grey/Blue combination. When I say Scandi/Norwegian I am referring to contemporary styles (attached images below) and while I acknowledge the house does have Scandi colours at present, they painted style is more 80s ski chalet. Any visual apps/websites i can use to play with trim/windows/pillars/door options? Its such a great house, keen to respect the exterior whilst bringing it bang up to date.

Wow this needs some work to even close to Scandanavian/ Nordic. I would start by removing those awnings and all the fancy trim replace it with simple and the think about color scheme. If you need sun control use solar shades inside.

Please don't remove the original woodwork. Just work with colors and preserve what you can of the original structure and design. It is a wonderful home and inside you can do more without sacrificing the charm of the home. In Europe, they require preserving the exteriors of buildings to preserve their history. Something we could learn from here. I believe this tradition is true in Scandinavia as well.
