Comments (6)If it's doing well and you want it small, leave it alone until it starts to get rootbound then go up in pot size only if you have to before spring, then put it in a big pot next spring. If it starts getting too big just Bonsi it. LOL Then in the spring re pot and let it grow. Trimming it will make it bush out and maybe not grow as tall etc. until your ready to put it out in it's grow out container. Personally I'd put it in a bigger pot and let it grow as big as it wants this season. Then drastically trim it before bringing it in for the winter. That way by spring you'l have a very bushy smaller more compact plant that should grow bigger outside and have the root growth etc. to put out spring pods and fall pods. I live in S. California and don't have to overwinter plants, they grow pretty much year round. I also live in a 1 bedroom apt. but make do. starts- outside Todays picks...See MoreWill The Real Aji Amarillo Please Step Forward?
Comments (13)"tinley, what zone are you in?" Ditto ..and yes you're helping, the pepper you're describing sounds like #2 in the OP. tinley, 5 yrs of overwintering is quite impressive (to me at least) and I thank you very much for sharing this. Do you consider this pepper to to be hot, or vey hot? Perhaps the better question is. is it good to eat fresh, as is, out of hand? Or is it too hot for that?...See MoreGinko Trees in Amarillo?
Comments (1)I could not find anything on the internet when I googled it. You might have to drive further east for that such as Dallas Arboretum, maybe Fort Worth Botanical Garden. Both are great places. I know that Metro Maples in Ft Worth has some decent sized ones that is only open to public on Saturday but could let you in during the week by appointment....See MoreLars/J.
