If you are going to get a Miele, then spend a little extra and get the plus with the auto-open feature. I did this a year ago and haven't regretted it at all. There is an air circulatory that runs for a minute or so after it opens which drys the dishes better than any of the old style dishwashers I've had with the heat drying turned on.

My design book shows a 7'-6" x 3' bathroom similar to yours. The room is made shorter by substituting a pocket door in the wall adjacent to the toilet for the swing door. An even smaller bathroom, just 4'-6" x 3' is accomplished by including a corner toilet (yes, they exist) and small sink opposite a 24" wide pocket door.

No one answered here, but I was able to get someone to take some measurements, so I'll share. These are the usable dimensions of the rack, and the usable height from the rack in the lowest position before you'd be against the broiler element: Thermador - 20"w x 15"d x 15"h (2.6 cf) Wolf - 22"w x 14"d x 9"h (1.6 cf) Miele XL - 15.5"w x 14"d x 6"h (0.55 cf) Miele XXL - 15.5w x x 14"d x 10.5"h (1.3 cf) The width of the Miele may be a tight fit for jelly roll pans or some baking sheets, depending on the lip.

I'd really love to know why this has to happen for you. Do you have a floorplan? Are you running utilities in that space or something?
