I am planning to replace the door hardware in my home— which is modern and airy but built in the 1990s, so quite dated in spots. My husband and I want a heavy, solid feeling handle in a black.

We love the Apollo lever by Ashley Norton in oil-rubbed bronze but are NOT fans of how ORB looks as it ages. Our designer suggested the powder coated black finish by Ashley Norton but it’s not ideal either, as it has a sort of dimpled look. (I feel like the texture kind of undercuts the clean, modern feel we’re doing for.)

Can anyone suggest a similar brand with a really nice, smooth matte black option? (Hoping not to spend Sun Valley Bronze type prices, if possible.) Or does anyone have any experience/thoughts about Ashley Norton’s powder coated black?
