Honestly? I bought mine from Costco, through their website. It happened that I saw a cabinet on the Costco website that I had found elsewhere and really liked, so we bought it. It turned out a couple months later we could have bought it for cheaper through a cabinet wholesaler 140 miles from our house, but with Costco's return policy AND the fact it was delivered to the house, the purchase was worth it.

It's true the LED strip is a little bit brighter than we would like at night so we might try to find a way to diffuse it a bit. But we love the fact it goes on everytime we walk in & turns off after 5 minutes of no movements in the bathroom. That's a great thing about Angie's list. I always tell providers that I found them through Angie's list & I'm not shy about telling them that I always post reviews there. For the most part, they make sure I'm really happy ;-) canuckplayer, I know from the rendering it's hard to tell but my tower is 15" above the counter. It's really easy to access the space under. Just like it's easy to access the counter under kitchen cabinets. My DH didn't put things away before because he had no where to put things other than on the counter. Now he will have lots of storage over & under the counter. Everything will be very easily accessible. Hopefully I will get the wallpaper delivered & installed by the end of this week & the mirrors also. Once the wallpaper is up then we can installed the towel bars & magnifying mirrors next to each sinks. Pictures coming soon :-)

Yes you should take into account the height of the faucets. Normally a mirror would begin above them. (Think of what you want to reflect....lots of plumbing or the viewer?) You want to be low enough that a person who is 5' tall can easily see their entire face and chest. Typically that's going to be right above the faucet. My powder room mirror is pushing the height limits at 45" above the floor. You don't want people to have to stand on their toes to see their face and chest. Mine is 4" above the faucet (so it's not crowded since mine opens). I'm sitting in a hotel right now and the mirror is right at faucet height (you don't see the faucet reflected in the mirror). I'd say it's about 38" off the floor. It's quite comfortable to use. My higher mirror is a powder room mirror as well. I did a lot of research on the subject (suprising how much you can find on the internet) and the general concensus was that you should look to the short folks in society and cater to them for the bottom height, and the tall folks for the top height, so that someone 5' tall and someone else 6'4" will both feel comfortable in the room.

Because you have color in your vanity j would keep your tile and paint colors for the bathroom neutral. I think marbles in grays and whites would look stunning. a beveled white tile in shower would be nice. It need not be a subway size. I would go larger and do a combination. The vanity has a bit of glamour to it. I would change out the hardware. Gold would be lovely and you could do polished nickel for faucets and shower hardware . tie in the gold hardware on the vanity by using a light fixture in gold tone. I like some of these tiles because they repeat the X pattern by using a diamond shape. If you will have a chandelier something like this would be stunning to tie the gold in but keep the white theme going If you’re doing sconces on either side of vanity mirrors I’d use gold there . On my phone currently so not a lot of time to pull more examples but hopefully this will give you some ideas.
