You might try posting this on the Home Decorating forum. I think a red door and darker gray would look great on your house.

This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all.

get one of those vinyl wrap posts. that metal scroll is blah and too thin. look how good this looks! get some cedar shutters to match and it would really stand out what would also look nice with your blue door, is a natural wood post (redwood or cedar). very simple to do. they have the posts already to go, cut to fit, set it into a metal holder on the cement, and coat it w/a uv clear coat so it won't change colors. some like this (size and color) would be perfect. you don't need the curved parts, just the single post and the cap at the top/bottom. plant more yellow flowers, maybe a few blue pots. copper would really pop the blue the door came out beautiful you know you can paint your light, yes? I have one almost identical. I taped off the glass portion and used Rustoleum spray paint. looks brand new. do yours in the copper color. and your mail box, and new address numbers

Get rid of all of the ones that don’t meet this criteria: 1. When the shutters are closed, whether they actually close or not, they should look as though they would cover the window. Shutters rarely belong on multiple windows. 2. They’re of a material sturdy enough to actually provide protection (i.e. probably not vinyl). That’s the purpose of shutters.
