Does everyone hate front load washers/dryers or is it just me?
Comments (255)@Chris Powchuk I don't agree with that at all. I had an Electrolux front load. Crappy machine. Bio-stink built up on clothing. You would think after running a 2 hour cycle with warm water, on heavy cycle with extra rinses would result in clean clothing. Nope. The machine was also clean as a whistle inside and out. I kicked that machine to the curb and got an LG. Much better machine. Clean clothes and clean smelling clothes. So I do not believe they are all built the same or operate the same. I used to dry the boot and leave the door open on my Electrolux. Never any mold. I have gotten lazy with my LG and do not dry the boot but do leave the door open and again no mold. I run affresh on the tub clean cycle every now and then and that's about it. And top loads are not exempt from mold. I had a Fisher and Paykel top load at my previous house. That machine built up mold all around the outside of the tub where you couldn't see it but boy could you smell it. We had to take the whole tub out and drag it into our shower to clean it....See MorePlease tell me it's not just me!
Comments (14)My problem is that for the last two days GW is automatically logging me out each time I leave GW. I started a new thread about this, wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I need to email Tamara about this but I can't find her email and I didn't save our communication from the last time this happened to me. Buehl, would you please post Tamara's email here or email it to me? Thanks!...See MoreSo tell me it's NOT just me!!!!
Comments (38)Oh my goodness! Thank you everyone! So many pictures and such fabulous suggestions. My DH told me that he went into the bathroom the other night and he turned the lights back off while he was in there b/c all of the different color samples I've painted everywhere made his eyes hurt! LOL I'm so glad to know that others feel blues are a hard color to get right. So I stopped by SW yesterday and tried Beacon Gray. Put it on last night. I looked at all of the other fabulous suggestions and it was b/w that and Iced Slate, but that one seemed to throw purple a bit. It is really hard to do based on a tiny swatch I know. If only they came in poster board size that you could borrow! :) So the Beacon Gray looks like a very pale blue in our bathroom. I think I'm going to get Mount Saint Anne (lyban-it's your bathroom that I saw the pic of!) So I'm blaming you for my rollercoaster I'm on at the moment! LOL I don't think I have access to F&B here. But it sounds like a fabulous company from what everyone says. Msrose: How interesting about signing up on BM...hmm. lukkirish: I've now learned from this experience just what you said. What I can't understand is the why part though. Anyone know why gray comes out blue on a wall? It's like magic. :) Bella: Oh how lovely they all are. I can't stop looking at them. If my DH comes home from work to find our whole house in blue, I'll know who to blame! funcolors-thanks. You are a gift! TY everyone. I have to run my son to his sunday school class...sorry I don't have time to respond to everyone's kindness at the moment. I'm very grateful though!!! We are spending the day with family today...although I know this will be spinning in the back of my mind all day! Back to SW tomorrow I hope! Thanks again! And really, I'm not completely obsessive, although it certainly appears that way right now! LOL Have a great day all! Thanks again!...See MoreAny concerns with this tile job, or is it just me?
Comments (13)The gap is required for the caulk that is the industry required standard at changes of plane. EJ 171. He didn’t use preformed Kerdi corners, and it bunched up on him at that 1 corner. Not a big deal to fix, if he is skilled. And he appears to be skilled. The bigger issue is if he used a foam kerdi pan vs a custom mud pan covered in kerdi. Schluter prohibits tile that small on their foam pans. It’s fine for a mud pan covered in Kerdi....See Moremimola
