Looks comfy. I'd opt for a rug as big as the area covered by the sliders to really ground all of the seating. Keep it 12-18" from the hearth. I don't like any of the sofas except maybe the 3-seater. The sectionals look to be poor quality in the photos. I would use a tall piece of casegoods on that wall unless you have an amazing piece of meaningful art to hang 5" above the buffet. Great blown up photos of the kids is another option for the great room. Black and white, sepia or colored can work.

IdaClaire: My point is that no one should feel that there is anything great at stake for such a small decision. What if everyone in the country needed help making every $20 purchase? People should feel free to buy what they like and use it in their homes. Architectural Digest will never come knocking. And if people are worried about what their friends will think about their choice of pillows, then they need better friends. It's all just noise, and it bumps real dilemmas off the front page where they are more likely go get help. If something is permanent, costly, or one-time-only, that's different. And if there is a clear right way and wrong way (or dangerous way) to do something, that may pose a dilemma. But none of that is the case here and in similar questions (like buying a toaster, also posted yesterday). HGTV has scared some people into thinking that there is only a particular way to do things and that every decision is important. This is pillows! Buy 20 of them and rotate them with the season for all anybody cares. It's your home. And still not a dilemma.

The table top in your inspiration pic caught my attention. It's not the usual furniture showroom table top. Get a comfortable couch for watching tv and put the one you don’t like snuggle on with its back to the windows, and put 2 chairs facing that. Right now, NO ONE sitting in that room can comfortably reach the coffee table. Get functional tables, more than one. Bring all the furniture closer to the center of the room and get pillows to coordinate with the blue in your rug. Bring in house plants and maybe a console table for behind your new sofa, and put lamps on it.
