backsplash ideas please
Hi! I have been searching for tile for some time now and am having a hard time with it. my husband thinks we should do white but for some reason I had imagined a backsplash that stood out a little bit. As you can see the kitchen is contemporary with clean lines. We're having the dilemma of choosing between straight lines for the tile or something with more texture. Also he was imagining a white and I wanted to choose a gray like the countertop veins. We're open to all suggestions. thank you!

Did you use a slightly darker color for your grout or is it the same color as your tile? I did look at some fireclay colors yesterday and I might order some samples if I can't find anything locally. My paint color is SW Wool Skein - def changes color depending on the light - cream/gray/green/yellow. Thanks for all the recommendations! Comments (11)You can order tempered glass sheets yourself. The main issue is that holes for outlets need to be cut before the glass is tempered. However, if you can have your outlets under your cabinets, it should be relatively easy to just go with glass sheets. There are also online resources or commercial glass sellers. I really love the idea of the glass that damiarain suggested. I'd put the glass directly over the existing paint, but perhaps behind the sink or stove, I'd put a wallpaper detail and cover it with glass. Really love your kitchen!...See More

5 years agoI might check out painted glass for the backsplash - this style looks really sharp in contemporary kitchens. Plus the glass means it's very 'glossy' which gives it interest without a competing pattern to your lovely countertops. You could do white or go for a blue that coordinates with the grey veins in your counters. Or green...
