Help! Need to pick paint colors for north facing bedrooms.
Comments (12)For my daughter’s room (which faces north east) we plan on painting it BM slip. The room across the hall (facing south west, I suppose), I wanted to do in BM Beach Glass. I painted a sample board. It’s a beautiful color, just worried it will be too dark in this room. Am also thinking about BM Silken Pine or BM Healing Aloe. The room next to my daughter’s room (further north than east) will be my son’s room. Sapele bunk bed, navy sheets. Am thinking BM edgecomb gray (LRV 63) or gray owl (LRV 67), though I’ve read that gray owl can be a minty green in certain lighting. The problem is little lighting as there is only one window. The hallway will be BM Wickham Gray. This is the one color that will stay as is because it works with the great room and the main foyer. Any thoughts / suggestions?...See Morerustic traditional bedroom transformation
Comments (28)thank you for more ideas! i guess im still trying to figure out what to call my style. maybe more modern farmhouse with traditional touches...i guess? i was told by the woman designer who helped pick out all our new lightening that the lights were traditional meets farmhouse style....if you look at my livingroom pictures i do like cosy feeling, distressed furniture, antiques, wrought iron, wood signs... i just have trouble making it all look designed instead off a bunch of mish mashed things ... for the room i have this bedspread on the way i hope to act as a bedskirt. the picture wall i envisioned somthung like this. its a work in progress i have the middle picture being made now ... but do you think i should foget this idea put a longer/bigger signed that i put over the bed as a example and the arched mirror beside the bed? or would that look stange and our of place? i just loved the grand and cosy look of headboard and the distressed legs in the bench. the side tables are slightly distressed (still waiting on antique knobs to come in)...See MoreUpdating master bedroom. Comments (7)Think about your favourite style and search Pinterest. You’ll see all the components that bring a room together, which will help you decorate. You can also drill down further and search by color, bedding, window treatments, rugs, bedside lamps, etc For example, I searched specifically for a modern dark headboard. Area rug would be a nice addition and then base rest of room around it. Bedding is next and paint last. Nice window treatment with longer black rod...See MoreHelp with Updating my Pre-Tween's Bedroom!
Comments (19)Do you have flat ceilings or are they stomped? Not sure you really want to paint them if they are stomped unless there are stains or some other compelling reason. They tend to become mucky and less crisp....See MoreJennifer Hogan
